You couldn't see this coming?....

We had a call earlier today for a woman bit by a dog. On arrival, we found the fire department on scene, as well as a couple of police and animal control officers. The woman had sustained a couple of small, non-suturable lacerations to her thumb. She got the cuts while trying to break up a fight between two pit bulls and a little chihuahua, who had unfortunately been killed in the attack. It seemed all the dogs belonged to the woman, and my question is why would you own a chihuahua with a pair of pit bulls? Did she think the dogs would all co-exist in peace and harmony, happily playing with chew toys, romping through the clover, and sharing food and water bowls? Did she not expect that one day, the dogs would think to themselves "Yo quiero Taco Bell" and have themselves a Mexican snack?

So sad a little pooch had to die because of a human's stupidity.
